Monday 22 August - back to Moissac to find new barge for Kaz and Iain

Next morning, Rita went searching in town for a DVD of the "au Fil de L'eau" performance. She finally found one in the Mairie's office and had a long talk with their cultural officer. We both started thinking how "A History of Marysville" could be a powerful vehicle to assist in the recovery of our bushfire-ravaged community in Australia.
That afternoon we headed off for Moissac. As we passed Pommevic, we saw that the community mooring facility was being very well used.

Along the way, Rita did her best impression of being on the bow of the Titanic - I kept a watchful eye out for icebergs! Finally, when we saw the swing-bridge waiting for us to pass through, we knew we were home. Somehow the gap alongside the swing-bridge looked much wider than when we left a few weeks earlier.

A little surprise awaited us when we tied up next to the port office. Kaz & Iain's "new" barge (Anneke) had finished its journey down from the north of France and was to be tied up next to Kanumbra. Green was becoming a popular colour!
